Stanton, MI - From the jump, the Freeland Falcons controlled the game beating their rival the Frankenmuth Eagles 73-42. Freeland advances to the regional final and will play Portland on Thursday night at Central Montcalm High School.

The Falcons' third matchup against the Eagles was their best showing. The first game was a six-point win in overtime, and the second win was decided by a tally. Tonight, Freeland was up 18-2 at the end of the first quarter.
Wilson Huckeby, had 21 points overall, nine in the first eight minutes. The junior splashed five threes, including a buzzer-beater against a double team to end the first half.
Big man Tristan Comer had 10 in the first half, with two free throw trips. The junior's inside presence made it hard on the Eagles, he grabbed two offensive rebounds on scoring possessions in the first quarter.
Frankenmuth scored 13 points in the first half. Junior Ethan McNeil posted 10 of the 13, including two threes. He finished with a team-best 19.
The Falcons got contributions from junior Tucker Hileman who had 12, 10 in the third quarter. Junior Ross Farrell off the bench dropped 11, with eight in the first half. The Eagles had seven different scorers, McNeil was the lone Frankenmuth player to exceed seven points.
Rounding Things Out
