Bay City, Mich. - The John Glenn Bobcats (15-8) continue their best season since 2019-20 with a 63-48 victory over the Carrollton Cavaliers (9-14) to make the district semifinal round. John Glenn, the host school, will face Freeland on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Cavaliers started with a 6-0 run, and by the end of the first quarter, the Bobcats led 16-15.
Carrollton senior Jeffery Chandler cached six points in the first eight minutes but ran into early foul trouble, limiting his minutes in the second quarter. John Glenn outscored the Cavs 17-9 in the second frame. Bobcats junior Sean Wesolek scored 12, two threes.
Up nine at half, John Glenn brought their advantage to double-digits in the first minute of the third quarter. They never had less than a 10-point lead the rest of the way. The deficit was down to 10 in the final 90 seconds, but Carrollton could not convert a three. John Glenn sunk their free throws to seal the deal.

Rounding Things Out
Wesolek added 11 more in the second half, finishing with 23. Senior Cameron Krzyminski knocked down three from beyond the arc, totaling 12 points. Juniors Hayden Ruff and Oliver Masters combined for 20, nine in the second half.
For the Cavaliers, Chandler completed his final game with 15, seven with limited minutes played in the final two quarters. The senior fouled out with two minutes remaining in the game. Senior Devonte Box delivered 14, seven in each half. Senior starter Edyn Williams was the only other Carrollton player with more than five, downing six.
